IP distribution offers more possibilities for providing more audio tracks (clear audio), sign language.
AI may be able to adapt content to make content more accessible. E.g. preventing flashing to make all content suitable for people suffering from epilepsy.
AI can also facilitate content discovery via voice, simple requests (e.g. movie with happy ending).
Metadata creation with AI. E.g. live sports to create a dynamic highlight reel for those joining mid-event.
How can we involve users of accessibility specs into the DVB spec process? Try to work with associations and user groups.
Importance of clearly identifying accessibility features in audio/subtitle components. Difficult due to use of foreign language codes for accessibility features. Improve using IP discovery/delivery metadata, break from the bad legacy situation.
Better definition of video roles for accessibility.
Fonts can be defined in TTML. Can also be overridden by user preferences.
Can AI be used to facilitate deployment of DVB TTML considering limitations in production e.g. use of TXT subtitles, and enrich with the help of AI.
