Key points/Issues raised & Solutions
- What if some programs have some features but others don’t.
- disable the buttons or make information removed
- do not blindly trust what is promised to be provided by the spec
- Broadcasters data is limited
- Make AI aware what is going on the screen
- More data needs to be provided
- Synopsis availability is variable
- Depending on the length, it can be used for each use case accordingly such as channel list, Program details, recommendation

-
- Through participation in a minimum data set, all broadcasters can benefit from its existence.
- Voice and AI search requires good meta-data to work and offerings will get better prominence in search when they have rich meta-data.

-
- Use Image Variants in DVB-I Specification, which allows the clients to get both of dark and light color of channel logo.

- Multiple delivery – if how do I choose which one
-

- There is a priority but it is optional – normally is used
- Recommended to have different priority.
-
- New end points
-
- End point for semantic search
- End point for recommendation
-
-
- Multiple type of recommendation
-
-
-
-
- Promotions
- Segmented profile recommendation
- Personalised recommendation based on activity
-
-
-
-
- What is the key, backend has to keep a record
- Recommendation can be based on the current viewed item
- Could recommendation be stored in the client
-
-
- End point for like and share
- From DVB-I Client side, it can count the number of like and share. The recommendation logic can be created using those numbers.
- End point for like and share
- Meta-data in DASH event stream
- From DVB-I Client side, Meta-data in DASH stream can be used for rich UX.
Next steps:
Broadcasters need to provided as much metadata as possible. This would attract users to view their channels and content.
DVB-I Client implementers can use Image Variants in DVB-I Spec to show channel logo clearly on any of dark or bright UI.
Recommendation would be useful for more viewers but still metadata will be required to have recommendation logic.
